This class discusses the need for controlling air in piping systems and the phenomena of surges in pipelines. At times, air is needed to prevent line failure, but more often, trapped air in our pipelines causes flow restrictions and increased operating costs.

Sewer Repair Coupling History:

Sewer Pipeline materials have evolved over the past 100 years. Along with changes in materials, the methods of repairing these various pipe materials have also changed and advanced over time. Methods of repairing sewer pipe have developed in four separate generations. All of these repair methods are still in use, and each has its pros and cons. The evolution will be discussed during the presentation.

Service Pipe Many Options:

Pipe material from the meter to the main is sometimes referred to service pipe. Agencies use various materials for their services. The different materials size, pressure rating, history and manufacturer will be discussed including the various types of service brass connection options.
